                        Happy Easter!!!!!

Enjoy an egg or two... preferably chocolate ones!
We're off to Kangaroo Valley for a few days so we can zone out of our crazy busy world.
(and I can guarantee there will be some chocolate eggs stashed away in our suitcases)

I've always had a fascination with chandeliers (especially old ones)and the way they add a feeling of luxe and mood to the room in which they hang.
Their sparkly reflections give a sense of ambience especially when coupled with some candlelight and a good bottle of red...

Cookies and milk...
Sometimes we all need a little something that's simple and sweet.

Location: from Reverie Magazine blog

Reverie magazine is one of my very favourite places to go to for wedding inspiration.
On their beautiful blog they sometimes feature palette boards.
I cut, paste and file so I can refer to them when I need a dash of inspiration.

This delicious lttle chocolate tart is from one of my favourite bakeries, Bourke St. Bakery.
Flakey, crispy pastry case filled with creamy, chocolatey goodness.
What's not to like (except the extra time on the treadmill!)...

Aren't the colour and texture of these "from-under-the-sea" beauties just fabulous!
I think all rooms should have a little piece of nature in them.
Any little (or big!) piece of mother natures handy work will do.... flowers. foliages, plants, driftwood, bark, or perhaps a bowl or cloche filled with "under-the-sea" goodies like these.

I indulged in my first hot cross bun this morning (with butter and jam!).
I had been trying to wait until the long weekend, but no, I didn't make it that far. It was sooooo good!!!
These amazing carrots were at the markets on sunday.... they would be a dream come true for any Easter bunny!

Baskets.
Wicker or wire.
Any and all sizes.
New or old.
There will never be enough room at home to store all those that I love, so I indulge my passion of a good basket by selling them at Dragonfly.

Wooden boxes. Love!!
The printing on them shows their history (my favourite feature).
The crate at the top is one we have at Dragonfly that I got from an importer who travels to France several times a year. It is an old mushroom crate which farmers used to transport the freshly picked vegetables.

These beautiful images are from one of my most favourite weddings we did the flowers and styling for at the end of 2012.
I loved everything about working with this client and the concept we developed for her.

The pic at the top of this post is of my collection of apothecary bottles at home.
It's a vignette that I have displayed on a big, silver tray, and it has been added to over many years.
No two pieces were acquired at the same time, which is one of the things I love most about this little grouping of loveliness.
And the pic at the bottom was a display at Mitchell Rd Antique centre that caught my eye because of the colour.
The seafoam/bluey/greeny hue is one of my favourites.

My foray into food styling has given me an appreciation for interesting kitchen utensils.... aged, preferably.

Succulents, especially when they're planted in groupings are one of my "favourite things"

Patina. The more worn, rusted, and full-of-a-story, the more I appreciate a piece. Objects don't have to be functional, their beauty comes from their history.

Such an inspiring collection, I adore the aged patina on these outdoor pieces.
